Trainees of an empowerment programme organized by the Senator representing Osun West Senatorial District, Adelere Oriolowo, have received financial grant to start their business.
The event which was held yesterday, 10th of August 2020 at King Riverside Event Centre, Iwo, Osun state had in attendance officials from the Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN) and Rural Electrification Agency (REA) who trained and certified the participants.
Oriolowo who was represented by at the event by Hon. Tajudeen Ayofe-Adisa said the Youth are an integral part of his plan as a legislator as he believes in building the next generation through human capacity development.
The lawmaker said the training of selected Osun-west youths on Solar streets light Repair, Installation and Maintenance, is one out of many ways he plans to achieve his purpose in building the next generation of resourceful youth and industrial society
The beneficiaries of the empowerment program took turn to commend Senator Oriolowo for putting up the programme. They also appreciated him for facilitating such a life changing empowerment program for the youth in the Senatorial district.
They promised to properly harness the knowledge gotten from the program and become productively self employed, financially independent and equally an employer of labour afterwards.
It would be recalled that the selected youths underwent an intensive technical training session in February on Repair, Installation and Maintenance of Solar streets light.
