Timothy Owoeye Foundation, a non-profit organization whose mission statement is to project human benevolence through advocacy, empowerment and intervention, has distributed free JAMB forms to 250 indigent students in the State.
The 250 students were selected from a pool of 458 applicants after a mock exam organized by the foundation.
At an event held on Thursday, Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye, the Chairman of the Foundation, commended members of the board of trustees for the effort and energy channelled to the foundation. He further said that the foundation will do more in areas such as promotion of qualitative education, provision of optimal health services, welfare and among others.
Owoeye who promised that the foundation would not relent in entertaining genuine requests, charged hundreds of beneficiaries to study well so as to excel in the forthcoming jamb examination.
In his remarks, a member of the trustees of the Foundation and Principal Ilesa Government High School, Mr Sunday Adepoju, acknowledged the commitment and vision of the Foundation chairman for committing his lean resources towards the promotion of education.
Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Master Oluwatobi Kayode who scored 77 marks to emerge overall best student, eulogised the Chairman of Timothy Owoeye Foundation for creating such a historic opportunity for the development of the nation’s future generation.
