Stakeholders in the education sector in Osun State have been urged to ensure that the right to quality, functional, affordable and equitable education for all as a way of achieving the goals of delivering better life for the people education for all children be accorded special attention.
The State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola made this known at the commissioning of Telemu Community Middle School, Ola – Oluwa Local Government and Community Elementary School, Morinu, Iwo on Thursday 15th, August, 2019.
The Governor affirmed that children are the hope and channel for achieving goals of a better future as well as positioning the state and nation, hence his administration’s commitment to ensuring that children in the state get quality education.
The governor appealed to stakeholders, parents, teachers and others to ensure that their children and wards were registered at school, attend school regularly and are well behaved, while urging the teachers to be role models to the children and ensure the children are well taught and disciplined.
“These projects are a further fulfillment of our promise to provide quality, functional, affordable and equitable education for all as a way of achieving our goals of delivering a better life for the people and for driving development in the state.”
“Our Children are our hope and channel for achieving these goals and positioning our state and nation to compete with other nations of the world.”
“Our Administration is committed to ensuring that our children get good education. This is the reason we are striving to build schools, equip them, renovate dilapidated projects, provide well trained teachers to teach the pupils and ensure that pupils attend schools punctually and regularly.”
“For us to achieve our desired goals, we require the cooperation of parents and teachers. It is on this note that I would like to appeal to our parents to ensure that their children and wards are registered at school, attend school regularly and are well behaved.”
Earlier in his welcome address, the Head of Service, Mr. Festus Oyebade urged parents to allow their children get education and that teachers should dedicate their time to teach the children effectively.
