The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Osogbo Federal Constituency in the 2027 general election, Ibrahim Taofeeq Kayode, popularly known as ITK, is outshining the incumbent lawmaker, Hon. Adewale Adebayo, in terms of grassroots impact and community development.
ITK has continued to position his aspiration around service before office, with interventions across the local governments that constitute the federal constituency – Irepodun, Olorunda, Osogbo and Orolu.
Some of the interventions of the APC candidate in the last month include the donation of ₦5 million to support victims of the devastating flood in Osogbo.
The gesture drew wide commendation from community members who said the response was prompt and impactful.
Beyond flood relief, Kayode has also deployed personal resources to rehabilitate critical community roads begging for government attention.
The roads include: Hamadiya–Sabo–St. Marks–Testing Ground road and the Olobedu-Ayekale road, making them motorable for residents and commercial motorists.
In the education sector, the House of Representatives hopeful recently distributed 100,000 free exercise books to students across 50 secondary schools in the federal constituency.
Supporters say these community-based efforts have distinguished him as a grassroots leader whose focus is on practical solutions to everyday challenges.
While Hon. Adewale Adebayo Gangaria holds the current mandate as the representative of Osogbo Federal Constituency, constituents are increasingly pointing to ITK’s visible interventions in flood response, road repairs, education support and youth empowerment as evidence of proactive leadership.
