N47m disbursed for construction of classrooms in Iwo school, nothing on ground – Tracka raises alarm

A civic accountability organisation, Tracka, has raised the alarm over the non-implementation of a classroom project in Osun State despite the disbursement of funds to the effect.

According to the organisation, N47 million was disbursed for the Construction of four Classrooms at Iwo Muslim Comprehensive Junior School, Iwo Local Government Area, Osun State, as captured in the Osun State Q4 2025 Budget Implementation Report, BIR.

Tracka, in a post on its page on Tuesday, said its field tracking revealed that the project has not been executed.

“According to the Osun State Q4 2025 BIR, N47m was disbursed for the Construction of 4 Classrooms At Iwo Muslim Comprehensive Junior School, Iwo LGA, Osun State,” the organisation stated.

“We tracked and report that this project has not been done. Despite a 100% disbursement to this project, we found dilapidated blocks of classrooms in the school, and no new block of classrooms has been constructed.”

The organisation called on the Osun State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB, the implementing agency, to provide the public with details of how the funds disbursed for the project were used.

“We call on @Osun State Universal Basic Education Board, the implementing agency, to provide the public with details of how funds disbursed to this project was used,” Tracka added.
