2026: Adeleke scared, jittery over impending defeat – Oyebamiji

The All Progressives Congress candidate in Osun State, Mr Bola Oyebamiji, has said the incumbent governor, Ademola Adeleke, is jittery and scared that he will lose the August 15 gubernatorial election.

Speaking on Wednesday during an endorsement programme in Osogbo, Oyebamiji said the APC is poised to win the forthcoming poll in a landslide.

The APC gubernatorial candidate said his party now has a 70 per cent chance of winning the election, adding that he has been going around to speak to people about his plan for Osun.

“Adeleke is scared and jittery, and it is glaring that he will lose this election. The APC has a 70 per cent chance, and we will keep working to ensure that we win with a landslide.

“Let me tell you this, we are prepared for the election. We will not be engaging in vote-buying or rigging of vote,” Oyebamiji told his cheering supporters.

Speaking further, the APC gubernatorial candidate slammed Governor Adeleke for issuing a warning to President Bola Tinubu, noting that he was only trying to blackmail the president emotionally.

Oyebamiji added that he has visited local governments across the state three times to talk to Osun people.

“We are engaging Osun people. I have been to all the local government areas three times. The first one was when I met with our party members to express my intention to contest the election.

“After that, I also toured the local governments to inaugurate our canvassers, while my third time of going to the 30 local governments was to meet with groups and traditional rulers,” Oyebamiji stated.
