The Management of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, has approved a two-day free eye clinic for all students of the institution.
This was contained in a memo from the Directorate of Student Affairs dated July 31, 2026.
The memo noted that the exercise will take place on Tuesday, August 4, and Wednesday, August 5, 2026.
It will be held at the Medical Health Centre, OSPOLY Iree Campus, and will commence at 9:00 a.m. each day.
The memo, signed by Paul F. Olawoyin on behalf of the Dean of Student Affairs, stated that specialists from Holy Trinity Catholic Eye Clinic, Iree, will handle the screening.
Services to be rendered include comprehensive eye tests, professional consultation, prescription of corrective glasses where needed, and public education on eye care and hygiene.
The management urged all students to seize the opportunity to get their eyes checked by qualified professionals at no cost.
It also enjoined staff and other members of the polytechnic community to help sensitise students to ensure a large turnout for the exercise.
