Ex-senatorial aspirant, Apata dumps Osun APC

The former aspirant for Osun West Senatorial District, Taiwo Ogundeji, popularly known as Apata as dumped the All Progressives Congress.

Ogundeji tendered his resignation in a letter dated July 11, 2026, addressed to the APC Chairman of Ward 6, Ola, in Ejigbo Local Government Area.

In the letter, he said the decision came after deep personal reflection and extensive consultations with his political associates and supporters.

“Although leaving the party was difficult, I believe it is in the best interest of my political convictions and future aspirations,” Ogundeji stated.

He noted that the move was guided by principles of fairness, inclusiveness and mutual respect, adding that he considered the opinions and expectations of stakeholders before quitting.

The politician appreciated the APC for the opportunities and experiences during his membership.

“I appreciate party leaders and members for the relationships built and the experiences gained over the years,” he said.
