Ajilesoro, Adedapo, ITK commiserate with Basiru over mother’s death

The member representing Ife Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon Taofeek Ajilesoro, has joined in mourning the passing of Alhaja Sidikat Abake Basiru, mother of the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Dr Ajibola Basiru.

In a statement issued on Sunday by his media office, Ajilesoro said he received the news “with a heavy heart and deep sadness.”

He extended condolences on behalf of his family and the people of Ife Federal Constituency.

He said Senator Basiru’s dedication to public service was a reflection of the discipline and values instilled by his late mother.

Ajilesoro prayed that Almighty Allah forgive her shortcomings, accept her return, and grant her Al-Jannah Firdaus.

Also commiserating, Engr. Ademola Adedapo, the APC candidate for Iwo, Ayedire, and Ola-Oluwa Federal Constituency, described the loss as “one of life’s greatest and most painful experiences.”

Adedapo said mothers are irreplaceable pillars of love, sacrifice, and guidance, and urged the family to find solace in the legacy she leaves behind.

He noted that Senator Basiru’s integrity, resilience, and commitment to service were “enduring testimonies to the sound upbringing” of his late mother.

Also, the APC candidate for the Osogbo Federal Constituency in the 2027 general election, Ibrahim Taofeeq Kayode, in a statement, expressed condolences to the National Secretary of the party.

Kayode described the death of the matriarch as a painful and irreparable loss, not only to the Basiru family but also to all those who were privileged to know and benefit from her life of love, care, and sacrifice.

The APC chieftain prayed that the cherished memories of Mama’s exemplary life continue to serve as a source of comfort and inspiration to the family during this difficult period.
