Adeleke has delivered for students, Osun youths will vote for continuity in 2026 – Babarinde

Senior Special Assistant to Governor Ademola Adeleke on Renewable Energy, Mr Funmiso Babarinde, has said students and youths across Osun State will vote for the governor’s second term in 2026, citing his administration’s commitment to education and youth welfare.

Babarinde, who also chairs the Civil Society Matters arm of the Imole Campaign Council, stated this during the inauguration of the Students’ Mobilisation Sub-Committee at the Accord Party secretariat in Osogbo.

The event brought together student leaders, youth stakeholders, and campaign coordinators to drive grassroots support for Adeleke’s re-election.

Speaking at the inauguration, Babarinde expressed confidence in the committee’s capacity to galvanise support among students and young people.

“The mandate of the committee is to ensure that students across tertiary institutions, local government areas and Diaspora communities are actively engaged in the campaign for continuity,” he said.

He praised the governor’s track record on education: “Governor Adeleke has demonstrated uncommon commitment to the welfare and advancement of students through various educational interventions, infrastructural development, bursary support initiatives and student-friendly policies. Students have every reason to support a leader who has consistently prioritised their interests.”

Babarinde also unveiled eight standing sub-committees to coordinate mobilisation across campuses, LGAs, and Diaspora networks. The committees include Leadership Advisory, Contact and Mobilisation, Female Students Mobilisation, Media and Publicity, Security and Monitoring, Action Strategy and Research, Inter-State and Diaspora, and Welfare and Protocol.
