A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Osun State, Mr Akin Adeyemi, has claimed that some people in the Accord Party were trying to lure him to their party.
This was, as he said, because those who left the APC for the Accord Party received money to do so.
Adeyi, a former member of the Peoples Democratic Party in the state, made the claim when he appeared on Western Spring Television’s Morning Spring programme on Friday.
He said, “We are at the time of trading in politics now, where people pay you when they know that you are desperate. They are not moving because of their love for you or the party.
“If you asked them, let them come and swear on their own that they are not mobilised to come into that party. Their mind, body and soul are still in the APC.
“Just last week, I had calls from someone in the Accord Party. The person proposed. This is someone who has not spoken with me for a good four years. He said they needed me to come to their side.”
However, when asked to name the Accord Party member who called to lure him into the party, Adeyi declined, noting that, “I raise this, but I am not ready to share the details of the person that called me.”
