Osun lawmaker returns to Accord after joining APC

The member representing Iwo State Constituency in the Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Rabiu Atanda, has returned back to the Accord Party months after joining the All Progressives Congress (APC).

osun.life reports that Atanda, on March 23rd, resigned from the Accord Party after he learnt that he might not secure his return ticket.

Following his resignation, the lawmaker met with the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy and the leader of the APC in Osun, Mr Gboyega Oyetola.

However, in a letter dated Tuesday, June 02, the lawmaker announced his return to the Accord Party.

The lawmaker said the decision was “carefully considered and is based on my personal decision.”

“I hereby write to formally resign my membership from the All Progressives Congress (APC), effective immediately and formally defected to Accord,” he noted.
