The Aragbiji of Iragbijiland, His Royal Majesty Oba Abdur-Rasheed Ayotunde Olabomi, Oduduwa IV, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola, for their contributions to the growth of Iragbijiland, Osun State and Nigeria.
Oba Olabomi made the commendation on Saturday while giving his address at the 19th Gbagede Oba Festival held at the Oba Olabomi Pavilion, Iragbiji.
A statement by the monarch’s press officer, Samson Aderibigbe, said Oba Olabomi, acknowledged the developmental strides of the Tinubu administration and praised the “invaluable contributions” of Oyetola towards the progress of the ancient town, Osun State and the nation at large.
He also appreciated individuals, groups and stakeholders whose support and sacrifices have continued to facilitate meaningful progress across the kingdom. The monarch urged citizens to remain united, peaceful and committed to initiatives that will further enhance the socio-economic advancement of the community.
Oba Olabomi further reaffirmed his commitment to the welfare and development of Iragbijiland, emphasising that cultural festivals such as Gbagede Oba serve as important platforms for fostering communal harmony, strengthening traditional institutions and promoting Yoruba heritage to younger generations.
He offered prayers for lasting peace, prosperity and divine guidance for Iragbijiland, Osun State and Nigeria as a whole.
