The Governorship Election Campaign Council of the All Progressives Congress APC candidate in Osun State, Mr Bola Oyebamiji, has told the state chapter of the Accord Party to allow the security agencies to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of one Kolade Eluyera.
osun.life reports that Eluyera was allegedly killed by political hoodlums in Ikire, Irewole Local Government Area of the state on Monday night.
A statement signed by the Co-chairman (Print), media and publicity committee of the APC campaign council, Kola Olabisi, said it was uncharitable of the campaign team of Governor Ademola Adeleke to embark on the threatening of the security due to the incident.
“This deliberate act of misinformation to feed the innocent people of the state with falsehoods in order to gain unmerited advantage is now shaking the peace of the state to its foundation,” the statement noted.
The APC urged the police to do a thorough investigation into the unfortunate incident with a view to bringing to book whoever might have a hand in the needless, gruesome killing.
Olabisi said that the political ambition of the APC governorship candidate was not worth the blood of any person in society.
“The lying machine of the Accord Party in the state should go back to their drawing board and cook another lies against our governorship candidate who is vantagely and divinely positioned to chase out the unpopular and relatively unknown Accord Party governorship candidate through the legitimate votes of the good people of Osun State on the 15th August, 2026 as this latest onslaught has hit the rocks as usual,” he added.
