Commercial bus drivers and motorcyclists who operated within the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife campus, on Wednesday, protested against their ban from the institution.
It would be recalled that the buses and motorcycles were banned after the university began operating CNG-powered buses and tricycles donated by Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.
The drivers and motorcyclists who protested at the front of the university gate appealed to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, to intervene in the matter.
They said the ban has caused economic hardship and urged the university management to reconsider its decision.
