The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has said Governor Ademola Adeleke will lose the August 15, gubernatorial election because the people of the state are fed up with his abysmal poor performance.
The APC, in a statement by its APC spokesperson, Kola Olabisi, a copy obtained in Osogbo on Wednesday, said Adeleke has deprived Osun people of good governance, noting that electorates would vote him out in the poll.
Olabisi said the governor has been doing damage control through the visits of his aides to the various media houses in the state.
“The visible poor performance and failure of Governor Adeleke did not start today but has its offshoot from the time he sidelined all the credible politicians who helped him to get to the exalted position that he finds himself today,” the statement noted.
“It has never happened in the political history of Nigeria, at least, that can be remembered that two serving senators, three credible members of the House of Representatives, and other prominent members of the ruling party would dump the same party and defect into the main opposition party at the same time,” Olabisi added.
