The Director General of the Osun State All Progressives Congress gubernatorial campaign committee, Hon. Oluwole Oke, has stated that Governor Ademola Adeleke should be blamed for the state’s epileptic power supply.
In a video obtained by osun.life, Oke said, the federal government has given the state governments the power to generate their own electricity.
He also claimed that the money from the subsidy, which was removed from petrol, is being shared with the state governments in order for them to improve the livelihoods of their people.
“President Bola Tinubu is giving the state government fund from the fuel subsidy he removed, and we, the lawmakers, have made laws giving the state government the power to generate its own electricity. Why is Osun not having stable electricity?” Oke asked.
He added, “Three years ago, when Governor Adeleke presented the state budget, there was a fund earmarked for the electricity sector. We should ask what they do with that money.”
Oke also accused Adeleke of not associating with and assisting the security agencies in the state.
