Ejigbo stakeholders urge political parties to zone Reps ticket to the area

‎A coalition of concerned stakeholders in Ejigbo Local Government has called on political party leaders in Osun State to zone the House of Representatives ticket for the Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore and Ejigbo Federal Constituency to the council area.

The group which includes representatives of various groups including transport unions, youth organisations, artisans, market women and civil society bodies, said the demand was rooted in equity and the need to sustain political harmony within the constituency.

A statement by the ‎coalition through Mr Mustapha Yusuf, reads, ‎“Our purpose today is simple and sincere. We are driven by a deep sense of responsibility to our people and to the long-standing tradition that has helped maintain unity within our federal constituency.”

‎He explained that “although the rotation of the House of Representatives seat among the four local governments may not be formally codified, it has served as a stabilising political culture over the years.

‎“This understanding has promoted fairness, justice and peaceful co-existence. It has prevented unnecessary rivalry and strengthened unity among our people,” Yusuf added.
