Traditional rulers from Osun West Senatorial District led by the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrosheed Akanbi, have endorsed President Bola Tinubu for a second term in office.
Addressing journalists on behalf of the royal fathers at his palace in Iwo on Sunday, the Oluwo said President Tinubu has answered the call of the people of Osun through the approval of the 90.9km Osogbo-Iwo-Ibadan road, noting that electorates would reciprocate by voting massively for him in the 2027 general elections.
Oba Akanbi who was flanked by other traditional rulers, including the Akire of Ikire-Ile, Oba Abdulazeez Olatunbosun and the Olu of Ileogbo, Oba Abeeb Adetoyese, commended the president for putting a smile on the faces of the people, noting that the road when reconstructed, would ease transportation stress.
The monarch also appreciated the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Mr Gboyega Oyetola for facilitating the approval for the reconstruction of the road.
“It is expedient to commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who has chosen to put a smile on our faces by easing the transportation stress we frequently face on the road. Along the stress of the road are great cities including Ibadan, Iwo, Osogbo, Ede and over 30 adjoining towns and many more.
“We extend our commendation to the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Alhaji Isiaq Gboyega Oyetola, for facilitating the federal government’s intervention and subsequent approval.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has listened to us. When we needed him, he answered. The project is a challenge for all of us to answer when he calls, too. There is no appropriate reward than to massively support his 2nd term re-election bid. He is our son. We should be proud of him. We should be advocates of his successes,” Oluwo noted.
