Osun NSCDC trains intelligence officers on tech-driven operations

The Osun State chapter of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), has organised a capacity-building programme for personnel of the Intelligence and Investigations department of the Command.

The training with the theme “Leveraging Technology and Data-Driven Approaches for Effective Intelligence Gathering and Analysis,” was held at the Nigeria Union of Journalists Press Centre, Osogbo.

According to a statement by the command spokesperson, Kehinde Adeleke, resource persons were drawn from the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Service(DSS), and the Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA ).

The State Commandant, Igbalawole Sotiyo, in his address, charged personnel to maximise the opportunity provided by the training to enhance their capacity in tackling emerging security challenges in the country.

“Security agencies thrive on credible intelligence. Therefore, officers must continually upgrade their skills, embrace modern technological tools, and adopt data-driven strategies to remain effective in intelligence gathering and analysis,” Commandant Sotiyo said.
