The All Progressives Congress in Osun State has called for discipline among party aspirants ahead of the 2027 general election primaries.
The party chairman, Sooke Tajudeen Lawal, who made the call on Friday during a stakeholders’ meeting, said the aspirants must be patient, particularly regarding the processes for obtaining nomination forms and expressions of interest for the national and state assembly elections.
Lawal said due process, transparency and cohesion remain central to the party’s collective ambition, urging aspirants to align with the guiding principles for electoral success.
He said, “I emphasised the need for discipline and patience among our aspirants, particularly regarding the processes for obtaining nomination forms and expressions of interest for both National and State Assembly elections.
“I reiterated that due process, transparency, and party cohesion remain central to our collective ambition, and all aspirants are encouraged to align with these guiding principles in the interest of the party’s stability and electoral success.
“We remain firmly committed to building a prosperous Osun State that reflects the hopes and aspirations of our people through purposeful leadership and inclusive governance.
“I also delivered the goodwill message of our esteemed leaders to stakeholders, reaffirming our shared vision and collective resolve to strengthen the party at all levels.”
