The Osun State command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), has appealed to well-meaning individuals, corporate organizations and philanthropists across the state to partner with the Command in strengthening security through the provision of operational support.
The state NSCDC Commandant, Igbalawole Sotiyo, made the appeal on Monday during the Command’s muster parade, where four motorcycles facilitated through the efforts of Divisional Officers of Ijebu-Jesa, Ipetu-Ijesa, Apomu, and Ikoyi were presented.
The command spokesperson, Kehinde Adeleke, in a statement, said Sotiyo, commended the commitment and dedication of some Divisional Officers for their outstanding performance and for consistently justifying the existence of the Corps within their respective areas of responsibility.
The Commandant noted that the initiative reflects proactive leadership at the divisional level and will significantly enhance rapid response, surveillance and patrol activities.
He charged other Divisional Officers to emulate the initiative by fostering community collaboration and demonstrating resourcefulness in addressing operational challenges within their jurisdictions.
