Car Crash: Owoeye calls for calm, says bereaved family will get justice

The Speaker of the State of Osun House of Assembly, Timothy Owoeye, has called for calm over the protest that erupted after the death of some youths in controversial police circumstances.

Owoeye who spoke during Wednesday’s plenary appealed to families of the deceased to remain calm just as the government has begun investigation into the sad event.

He said “We at the State House of Assembly commiserate with the family of the deceased and pray the Almighty grant them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”

“We must also commend Governor Oyetola for the steps he has taken. The investigation he has ordered must be thorough and decisive.”

“Let me assure the members of the public and indeed the families of the bereaved that justice will be done swiftly over this ugly incidence.”

He equally stressed the importance or the peaceful coexistence between the government and the people, saying the peace the state enjoys must never be truncated.
