As the controversy surrounding the alleged distribution of poor quality rice to some residents of the State continues, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Hon. Remi Odewale, has called on Governor Gboyega Oyetola to probe the purchase of the rice.
Odewale who is a former Chairman of Ife South Local Government, in a Facebook post eulogized the Governor for his intervention in making palliatives available to the people of the State but blamed saboteurs around him for the low quality of the rice.
His post reads;
Dear Governor Adegboyega Oyetola
Am very sure and convinced that you meant well for the people of Osun state especially with your intervention with the palliative package for the citizenry at the heart of COVID 19 pandemic. It is absolutely disheartening to see the quality of rice being supplied by whoever the job was giving to.
As a man of high principle, decency with prudence, coming out clean by setting up an enquiry committee on why the job was wickedly and satanically executed ‘MUST’ be encouraged to serve as deterrent to the “CABALs” around your government. The rice in question doesn’t worth feeding the animals talk less of human.
Going forward sir, you need responsible faces at the fore fronts of your government, people with high integrity, people that can vouch and be vouched for, people with right exposure and contentment, people that won’t see profit making as priority to every assignment dished out to them.
May God light your path in LEADING Osun to the Next Level.
