The Osun State University has reacted to a judgment of the State High Court that sentenced two men to death over the murder of a 400l student.
Justice Jide Falola of Osun State High Court sitting in Ikirun had on April 2, sentenced Elijah Oyebode, 25, and Jelili Raji, 35 – to death by hanging for murder of one Miss Rofiat Adebisi, a 400-level student of Osun University, Ipetu-Ijesha, on Dec. 22 2016.
When our correspondent reached out to school management for reaction to the judgment, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the school, Mr Ademola Adesoji, on behalf of the school management thanked the judiciary for the judgment.
He said “We specially thank the Osun State High Court sitting in Ikirun for delivering a judgment that sentenced the killers of our late student, Miss Rofiat Damilola Adebisi to death.”
“It is indeed Justice at last! May the soul of our dear departed rest in peace, as we pray to God to continue to console the family and the bereaved.”
