Executive Governor of Osun State, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola has congratulated the Governor-elect of Bayelsa State, David Lyon on his victory in the just concluded gubernatorial election in the state.
Oyetola who maintained that the victory is outcome of the love that the masses have for the party as a result of good governance which the party has displayed over the years.
Speaking through his Press Secretary, Mr Ismail Omipidan, the Governor commended the resilience of the citizens of Bayelsa for their decision in aiding democracy by voting in candidate from the progressive party for the first time since in the state since 1999.
He further admonished the Governor-elect to work towards fulfilling the promises he made to the masses during campaign as it will the uphold trust people had in him.
Oyetola however commended the effort of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for conducting a balance and peaceful election on the State.
