The Osun State House of Assembly, on Monday, summoned all the 30 local government council administrators and those of the 36 newly created local council development areas to render account of all money received as allocation as well as revenue generated within the last six months.
The council administrators appeared before the House Committees on Public Account, Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs on the floor of the Assembly.
After rendering their accounts of allocation and revenue generated within the said period, the council administrators were charged to evolve measures to boost their Internally Generated Revenue, adding that the boosting IGR would make them responsible to the people at the grassroots level.
The chairman, House Committee on Public Account, Debo Akanbi, lauded the council administrators on the running of the councils within the period and charged them to do more to boost the revenue generated.
