Osun Guber: Fear grips APC, PDP as Appeal Court delivers judgment tomorrow

By Jamiu Ganiyu

There is palpable fear and anxiety within the camp of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party as the Appeal Court sitting in Abuja is set to give judgment on the Osun State governorship election.

The notice of judgment which was posted at the premises of the Court of Appeal earlier today, was made available to osun.life. The judgment session which is slated for 9am will be delivered by the five members of the appeal panel.

You will recall that the election tribunal that sat on the case had annulled the election of Governor Gboyega Oyetola of the APC and ordered INEC to issue a certificate of return to the candidate of the PDP, Ademola Adeleke as the winner of the disputed polls.

Dissatisfied with the judgment of the election petition tribunal, the respondents, Governor Gboyega Oyetola, his party, the All Progressives Congress and the Independent National Electoral Commission appealed the judgment of the lower court.

In a brief chat with selected members of both parties, they expressed fear and apprehension as to the direction of the judgment but also hopeful that it will favour their party.
