Nigerian music superstar, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido, has publicly told the governor of Osun State, Gboyega Oyetola to vacate his seat claiming he lost the election.
Davido’s message was contained in a tweet he posted this afternoon, he said “Oyetola must go … this shit is gettin embarrassing and ridiculous! U lost your election Sir ! Accept Gods will and Vacate Thank You .. now back to what I was doin 🎶 😴🤗 🌍”
In an earlier reaction to a tweet by osun.life, Davido had described a fresh law suit seeking the disqualification of Senator Adeleke Adeleke as the lawmaker representing Osun West Senatorial district as an act of desperation.
The Osun State governorship election tribunal sitting in Abuja had earlier declared Senator Ademola Adeleke (Davido’s Uncle) of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) winner of the disputed election and ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to issue him a certificate of return.
The judgment which has been appealed is currently before a 5-man appeal Panel of the Court of Appeal. The appeals were filed by Governor Gboyega Oyetola, the All Progressives Congress and INEC.
Senator Adeleke whose nomination as the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party was recently nullified by an Abuja High Court in a certificate forgery case, has appealed the verdict and waiting on the judgment of the appellate court to determine his fate.
