The governorship candidate of the Action Democratic Party, Mashood Adeoti, has lashed at the All Progressives Congress for fielding a candidate who he said lacked the required experience to govern the state.
The former Secretary to the State Government said this at the ADP campaign rally in Ede on Wednesday.
Adeoti said, APC has been criticising all the candidates from Osun West Senatorial district, tagging them unqualified bunch when they were parading a candidate who only served in a position that is not recognized by the Nigerian constitution.
According to him, “They (APC) are only pained because we are no longer with them. They are coming at us now by saying we are not qualified in Osun West. Have they forgotten that their candidate is lacking experience? Don’t they know that the Nigerian Constitution does not recognise the post of Chief of Staff?”
Adeoti added that his administration would priortize the general welfare of the people, while emphasizing that his empowerment plan would not be certificate-oriented.
He said his administration would also provide an enabling environment for traders in the state by giving them capital and reducing the tax they pay.
In his address, “We are going to complete the games village in Ipetumodu so that youths with football talents can hone their skills to become world-beaters.”
Lastly, he urged voters to get their Permanent Voters Cards so as to vote out the APC government in the gubernatorial election. He added that they should vote massively for ADP.
