The Governor of the State of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, has commissioned the work place water front and lake resort. He also swears in the Headmaster and Tutor general across Ten Federal constituencies of the States.
The event took place at Osun State Government Secretariat, Abere, Oshogbo.
The lake resort center was named after the late former Permanent Secretary, of Bureau of General service, Mrs kolawole Oluwakemi Olufunke. This center consist of various relaxation centers, event center, restaurants and large water front located at the heart of the Secretariat.
The Governor while addressing the jubilant crowd, disclosed the project was conceived and partly implemented by the former Governor, Chief Bisi Akande and completed by his administration. He berated the immediate previous government of Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola for abandoning the project.
He further charged the newly appointed Headmaster generals to be diligent in their work and see it as an opportunity to contribute their quota to quality education in the state. He promised all right and privileges attached to the office of Permanent Secretary will be given to them.
Amongst of their duties highlighted include; To monitors academic activities, effective administration, management and supervision of facilities of elementary and middle schools, collaboration and integration with SUBEB for the smooth running of schools in their region.
He warned, excuses of modulated salaries for poor performances will not be welcomed, that their performances will be measured through the result of the pupils. He promised salaries arrears of workers and pensioners will be paid before the end of his tenure.
