Easter: Be your brother’s keeper, Lasun appeals to Nigerians

Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Sulaimon Lasun-Yussuff has enjoined Nigerians to embrace spirit behind Easter Celebration.

He also appeal to people to be their brothers’ keeper especially those in government who have the opportunities to alleviate the poverty of the people.

‎Deputy Speaker congratulated Christian faithful during Easter celebration and successful completion of the lent period.

In his Easter ‎message to Nigerians, Deputy Speaker urged Nigerians to eschew violence and ensure that peace reign supreme in the country because nothing meaningful could be achieved in a crisis area.

‎He prayed that the importance of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ be felt in our individual lives and our country as a whole.

He enjoined Nigerians to remain optimistic about the situations in our country because APC ruling government is doing everything possible to reshape the nation:s economy.

“It’s a passing phase. At the end, we will overcome and victorious. There will be light at the end of the tunnel”.

“Jesus died for the mankind and resurrected after the third day, therefore, it is in the interest of the society and the nation‎ to imbibe the spirit of humility and consider the plight of the poor people at all times”.

He noted that every challenge we face as a nation is a passing phase, therefore, there is a need for us as a nation to work together for the peace, unity and progress.
