– Two final year students of the Computer Science department at the Osun State University (UNIOSUN) students have been missing for about 17 days

– The families of the two undergraduates have expressed hope over their safe return after serious prayers

Robert Akinduro and Samuel Eke, two final year students at the Computer Science department of Osun State University (UNIOSUN) have reportedly gone missing.

Reports say they were reportedly preparing for their projects when the unfortunate incident happened.

The families of the students, who have been missing for the past 17 days, said they have resorted to prayers in order to find the undergraduates.

Samuel’s mother while speaking on the issue said she believed that only God could locate her son, who is her only child.

Henry Akinduro, a sibling of the other missing student said the family has not given up hope. He said God would find Robert for the family.

According to Punch, Eke’s mother, who spoke on the telephone from Osogbo on Wednesday, September 21, said she believes that Samuel and Robert were still alive.

They had told friends that they wanted to visit one Parise but have not been seen since then.

Mrs Eke said: ” I went to the police headquarters and the man, who they went to see, was still in detention. I saw him there. He said he did not see them.

”I am not sleeping, I have not been sitting down and folding my hands; my brother and I have been praying. He is my only son and my only child. I don’t have any child apart from him, I am deeply troubled, but I believe God will bring him back home.

”They told us in some places we went to that Samuel and Robert are alive, but they are in a tight place and only God can release them. The university has also been helpful. The police are also trying.”

Henry said the family believed that God would bring back his brother and his friend alive. He added that nobody had called to demand ransom from the family.

He explained that he chatted with his brother until around 10.54pm when he went to meet Parise, who was assisting them to do their final year projects.

The Osun state police public relations officer, Folasade Odoro, said police arrested Parise as a suspect for investigation. He is still in police custody.

Odoro said: “The police have not released the suspect. How can we release the suspect when we have not seen the victims or got to the root of the matter? ”She urged anybody with useful information on the whereabouts of the students to contact the police.”

In a related development, a University of Lagos (UNILAG) student who was allegedly involved in rituals, has been exposed by her boyfriend. According to reports, the UNILAG student was having a conversation with her friend, where she told him why she hadn’t had a bath all day long because of a certain ritual.
