The gubernatorial campaign team of Senator Iyiola Omisore has distanced itself from derogatory articles and statements against the person of Chief Bisi Akande and Mr. Gboyega Oyetola.
A statement by the Director General, Osun Rescue Mission Team
( Iyiola Omisore Campaign Organization), Ajibola Famurewa, noted that the articles were sponsored by opposition parties who were hell bent on knocking the heads of frontline governorship aspirants in the APC.
The statement condemned what it described as needless negativity and dissociated the campaign team from such.
It added that members of Omisore’s media team have been warned not to be involved in such and not to assist in sharing or disseminating such a divisive write-up.
He said, “We have noticed, of recent, open letters, articles, and press statements on social media containing derogatory commentaries about our highly referred leaders in the Osun APC, particularly our highly esteemed Baba Adebisi Akande and former Governor Gboyega Oyetola.
“We see this development as the handwork of the opposition ( both ADC and PDP ) fifth columnists who are hell bent on knocking the heads of frontline governorship aspirants in the APC.
“On our part in the Osun Rescue Mission team of Senator Iyiola Omisore, we condemn all this needless negativity and dissociate our campaign team from such. We have warned members of our media team and anyone associated with us not to be involved in such and not to assist in sharing or disseminating such a divisive write-up.
“Internal contest is a friendly family affair and we will not allow fifth columnists to divide us and sabotage our efforts as a party to reclaim Osun State governorship seat. The public in general and APC members in particular should please take note.”
