Ooni Urges Nigerians To Shun Religious Intolerance

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has enjoined Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of godliness and shun religious intolerance in the country

Ogunwusi, who spoke when he led other monarchs into the dedication of a multi-million Naira ultra-modern church building of the Cliwom Sanctuary of Praise in Modakeke, Osun State,also charged the people to support the work of God and think more of His kingdom.

Among the traditional rulers were the Owamiran of Esa- Oke, the Onibala of Ibala-Ijesa, the Onidoka of Idoka, the Asaobi of Asaobi, Onisabe of Sabe, Alayetoro of Ayetoro-Ijesa and the representative of the Ogunsua of Modakeke.

Many Christian leaders and gospel singers, including Evang. Ebenezer Obey Fabiyi, Evang. Bola Are, Evang. Tope Olutokun, Akeeb Kareem popularly known as Black Man, Esther Ajayi and John Adelakun, graced the ceremony.

In his remarks at the event, the Osun State Deputy Governor, Mr. Benedict Alabi, advocated the need for religious tolerancein the country.
