A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr Funmiso Babarinde, has began a week long celebration to mark his 50th birthday anniversary.
The programme which started on Monday with a visit to the Abiye and FOMWAN orphanage homes, saw the celebrator and his friends donating support materials to the homes.
Speaking on the sidelines of the event, BF as he is popularly called said he is grateful to God for how far he has come and the only and best way he can return the glory is to put smile now matter how little, on the faces of other people.
The celebration which continued yesterday with an Advocacy day for Public Education and Enlightenment on Health issues mainly High Blood Pressure HBP. The day began with a morning health walk that terminated at a WOCDIF Event Centre where Medical Personnel tested people without cost on their HBP status and advised participant’s appropriately.
Other activities lined up includes the Launching of 3 Book, Compendium of Testimonials, Anthology of Poems, Unveiling of a new Media Platform, at an elaborate birthday party scheduled for Thursday at Atlantis Event Center, Oshogbo.
The week-long celebration will round up with Special Reading at the Association of Nigeria Authors (ANA) at NUJ Press on Friday, a reunion of Friends/Oldies on Saturday and a Thanksgiving service at RCCG Bethel Parish.
Babarinde Funmiso Akinbola born in Yakooyo, Ife North Local Government area of Osun State is a graduate of Marketing from The Polytechnic Ibadan.
Babarinde who served as Executive Assistant on Student Matters to the then Governor of Osun State Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, now oversees a trading company, Breeze Feathers Nigeria Limited.
