Baring any last minute changes, the All Progressive Congress (APC), will today begin the screening of 17 aspirants for the upcoming party’s primary election.
It was reliably gathered by a source at the party’s headquarters in Abuja that only 17 aspirants out of the 33 that initially submit an intention letter at the State party Secretariat in Oshogbo made it to the screening stage.
The screening process will start today Thursday 12th of July and end Friday 13th of July.
Notable among the aspirants scheduled for screening are; Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, Engineer Adelere Oriolowo, Dr Ezekiel Oyebola Oyemomi, Hon. Lasun Yussuff, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti, Barr Adegoke Rasheed (KRAD), Hon. Najeem Salaam, amongst others.
Recall the Secretary of the party Hon. Mai Mala Buni, had last week released a signed schedule that validated the postponement of the primary election till Thursday 19th of July.
Lastly, it is still unclear if the current Commissioner of Finance, Hon. Bola Oyebamiji, who joined the race lately, obtained the nomination and expression of interest forms.
