A governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State of Osun and incumbent Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Moshood Adeoti has assured that he would not in any way tamper with the current administration in any of the council areas of the state if he wins the governorship primaries and eventually the governorship election.
This was contained in a statement issued and signed on his behalf by the Director of Media and Publicity of Moshood Adeoti Campaign Organisation (MACO), Mr. Kayode Agbaje.
According to him, Alhaji Adeoti wondered how he would help in destroying such a laudable legacy of an administration in which he has been an active participant.
”How would I destroy such a laudable legacy put in place by a progressive administration in which I am an active participant,” he stated.
He further allayed the fear of some of the political office holders in the council areas of a possible sack, stressing that such a thought has never crossed his mind.
”Let me also use this opportune to allay the fear by some of the elected councillors that I will not sack anyone if and when I assume the leadership of the state administration,” Alhaji Adeoti further stated.
The governorship aspirant further reiterated that all his plans for the state are in conformity with his party manifestoes, adding that as a worthy manager of human and material resources, Governor Rauf Aregbesola has laid a solid foundation for any successor to build on.
He therefore emphasized that he would build on the foundation laid by Governor Aregbesola, rather than thinking of dismantling any of the structures put in place by the incumbent administration in the state.
”As a senior political office holder in the current administration in Osun since its inception in 2010, I would rather build on the foundation laid by Governor Aregbesola.
”The rumour of the thought to sack any of the councillors or dissolving the local government councils only exists in the imaginations of the originators of such and never from me or my supporters,” Alhaji Adeoti stressed.
