The Project coordinator Osun Rural Access Mobility Project (RAMP), Engineer Adelere Adeyemi Oriolowo, today declares his intention to run for the governorship positions at the All progressive congress (APC) Secretariat, Ogo Oluwa, Oshogbo.
Oriolowo while addressing the party faithfuls at the APC State Secretariat, promises to reinforce and advance the gains of the outgoing governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.
He said “ I am Adelere Adeyemi Oriolowo, a governorship aspirant of our party the APC. I am convinced that our good people of this state do know that honest and effective governance, public order personal security, economic and social progress or development do not come by accident, nor as natural course of events. Rather, they are carefully planned for as the APC government has demonstrated in our state in the last seven years and seven months. With this leadership set to leave office, it becomes imperative for us to find a man who will lead other members of our party to maintain, reinforce and advance the many gains Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has led the APC government to make in the state of Osun. In order to sustain this high tempo of developmental achievements, I have carefully, prayerfully, and in consultation with a wide spectrum of members of our party, decided to submit myself to you to give me the chance and the opportunity to serve in the position of Governor of this state.”
However, while addressing the party supporters, he emphasized that the continuity agenda he has in mind would not rule out fresh ideas, approaches and innovations. He later reeled out his seven points integral plans which include inclusive governance, infrastructure, security, education and human capacity development, an agriculture-based economy, women and youth and finally improve on the health sector.
Oriolowo, however, promised to run a workers friendly government, because he was and still part of them and will do every thing to make the workers happy and reposition the public service which he described as the engine room of governance.
The governorship hopeful concluded by saying he is capable, able and available to lead Osun onto new frontiers, and transform the state in the next four years, if given the chance.
In his remarks, the chairman of the state chapter of the party, Prince Gboyega Famodun, commended the quick transformation of the guber aspirant from a technocrat to a politician, saying the party is happy with the aspirant’s entry considering his wealth of experience.
