A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant in Osun state, Mr. Olawale Rasheed on Saturday felicitated with HRM Oba Adesola Munirudeen Lawal, Laminisa I, the Timi of Ede Land on the 10th anniversary of his ascension to the ancient throne.
Mr. Olawale in a statement he personally signed, described the revered monarch as a symbol of love and unity, whose reign has brought significant progress to Ede and Osun state at large, saying it has been 10 years of abundant growth for the ancient town.
Oba Laminisa marked 10 years of his ascension to the throne of his forebearer and series of events from March 3-10 is scheduled to celebrate the monarch.
The Iwo-born mediapreneur lauded Oba Laminisa immense contributions to the peace, harmony and progress of Osun state and Nigeria, adding that he is a father who doesn’t stigmatize or discriminate.
“Baba is an intellectual per excellence,a symbol of modernity ,a monarch of progressivism.Kabiyesi,I wish you more years of prosperity on the throne of your forefathers
“On behalf of my family, MOR campaign organization, I warmly felicitate with HRM Oba Adesola Munirudeen Lawal, Laminisa I, the Timi of Ede Land on his 10th coronation anniversary,” Mr. Olawale noted in a congratulatory message.
Mr. Olawale who joined the people of Ede Land in celebrating His Royal Majesty on the anniversary celebration prayed for continued good health, wisdom and strength for Oba Laminisa reign in the ancient town.
“We pray that the Almighty God will continue to give you good health and wisdom to pilot the traditional affairs of your kingdom and offer valuable contributions to the development of our dear Osun state,” the gubernatorial hopeful said.
While applauding the people of Ede land for the cooperation and confidence reposed in the monarch in the last 10 years, the PDP chieftain charged them not to waver in that regard for the continuous growth and development of the ancient town.
“As a bastion of culture and tradition, Oba Laminisa has played a significant role in the promotion and sustenance of mutual relationship among the people of Ede Land and their neighbours,” he added
