Osun State Police Command says it has recovered about 39 stolen vehicles between January and February this year.
The State Commissioner of Police, Mr Fimihan Adeoye, disclosed this while addressing newsmen in Osogbo, the state capital.
He said that the command had announced the recovery of 19 vehicles on January 30 while parading the suspects.
Adeoye said another 20 vehicles have just been recovered making it 39, and the registration number of the vehicles had been changed.
“I want to let you know those police detectives are not relenting on their efforts. We recovered another 20 vehicles stolen by the gangs that we paraded for stealing 19 vehicles on January 30.
“We discovered that some of the vehicles were snatched at gunpoint. We have prepared the details of the vehicle for the owners to come and claim.
He commended the Special Anti-Robbery Squads for their hard work, passion and dedication to ensuring that threat to the lives and properties is brought to the minimal.
Adeoye disclosed that eight people have come to claim their vehicles urging whoever has lost his/her vehicle, many of which are Toyota Camry, should come to the command.
