By Joseph Akanbi

A Former Commissioner for Finance, Budget and Economic Planning in the State of Osun and leader of the Bibiire Group, Dr. Adewale Bolorunduro has commiserated with the people of Ile Ife on the demise of Ambassador Olagunju Adesakin, Nigeria’s former envoy to the Peoples’ Republic of China who passed on to the great beyond at the ripe age of 84.

Bolorunduro in a statement released by his media office in Ilesa, conveyed his “enormous respect for the illustrious son of Ile Ife and mentor to several political sons”. He noted that the late Adesakin had continued to “play an immense part in shaping the socio-political environment for long even before his days as Chairman of the defunct political party, SDP in the Old Oyo State till his days as an Ambassador and beyond”.

Dr. Bolorunduro further expressed his condolences to the immediate and extended Adesakin Families, the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, the Ile Oodua and Ife Traditional Council and the entire people of Ile Ife and the State of Osun on the demise of the Otun Balogun of the Source.

The Former Commissioner also commiserated with all sons and daughters – both biological and political, of the late Ambassador Adesakin that the good Lord grant them the fortitude to bear the loss.

Bolorunduro prayed for the repose of the soul of Ambassador Gunju Adesakin and that the Almighty God will grant him rest with the saints triumphant.
