The iRead To Live Initiative Team has paid a courtesy visit to L.A Middle School in Ifetedo, Ife South Local Government Area, in Osun State.
The team of volunteers, who are undergraduate law students of Osun State University, College of Law Ifetedo Campus arrived the school premises by 10am, the team was warmly received by the Principal, Vice Principal, Teachers and Students.
The Executive Director of the initiative, Jacob Olaoluwa, SULE addressed the volunteers and deployed them into various classes to interact with the students in Primary 5 & 6 and JSS1 -3.
The Director(s) of Publication Okewale Faith & Abiona Aisha engaged pupils of Primary Six to be Readers, stating that Readers are Leaders. Both Directors however declared to sponsor Two Students for the forth coming primary six Examination.
Director of Advocacy, Gbadegesin Mariam alongside with the Director of Traineeship, Adeyeri Feranmi addressed JSS 1 on Succeeding against all Odds.
Bamidele Temitope, Quadri Damilola, and Adegbite Adejare who are currently serving as Directors of Traineeship and International Exchange, and Director of Advocacy respectively charged JSS 3 Students to be good Ambassadors of their institution while guiding them on choosing a sustainable career path.
The Director of Research, Adebayo Israel joined the Director of Traineeship and International Exchange, Fabinu Oyindamola a 500 level Law Student of the College of Law in addressing students on the need to look beyond Ifetedo and focus on the Future ahead.
Onipede Boluwatife and Olasunkami Tolu who are also Final year Students of the College of Law, Osun State University and currently serving as Directors of Advocacy and Content Strategist also interacted with students, charged them to remain focused irrespective of the challenges they are faced with.
The highlight of the interactive sessions was the establishment of the Student iRead To Live Reading Club, and induction of Students as members of the Reading Club.
Thereafter, the Executive Director, announced an Endowment Fund to support Students fees for the Junior Secondary School Certificate Examination.
A policy dialogue session was held with the Vice Principal and Teachers where challenges peculiar to the school was itemized.
The members of staff expressed their gratitude to the entire Team of the iRead To Live Initiative.
