Early results from the Osun West Senatorial District by-election indicates that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Candidate, won his unit with 155 votes to 6 votes of the All Progressives Congress.
Also, the former Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly and Governorship Aspirant, Hon Adejare Bello, won his unit with 190 votes to 4 votes of Senator Mudasiru Hussain
Interestingly, a former Irewole LG Chairman and Governorship Aspirant, Hon Lere Oyewumi, also won his unit with 138 votes to 63 votes for the All Progressives Congress
