Osun State Magistrate court, Osogbo has arraigned four men for stealing and buying motorcycle.
The prosecutor, Mr. Olayiwola Razak said “Abdulraman Umaru (32yrs), Eniola Idowu (20yrs), Salawudeen Yusuf (20yrs) and Arogundade Hamed (20yrs) on the 19th – 20th January, 2017 at night in No. 8 Saliat area Osogbo did conspire together to commit felony to wit stealing”
“Also Abdulraman Umaru, Eniola Idowu, Salawudeen Yusuf and Arogundade Hamed did steal one Boxer motorcycle with Reg. No AKE 120 UJ, property of one Adeotun Olowolayemo C.I.C.S Ede valued at N150,000, Jinchang with Reg. No. QL 180 FST property of Bamigbose Ismaheel value N25,000 and another Bajaj Boxer motorcycle with engine No. DUZWCD4438 valued N150,000 property of one Aminu Yusuf put in care of one Lukman Akinwale”
“Meanwhile, Abdulraman Umaru did unlawfully be in possession of one Jincheng Motorcycle with Reg.No. QL 180 FST value N25,000 property of one Bamigbose Ismaheel knowing fully well to have been stolen.”
Abdulraman Umaru committed an offence contrary to and punishable under section 516, 390 and 430 of criminal code cap 34 vol. II laws of Osun-State of Nigeria 2003 while Eniola Idowu, Salawudeen Yusuf and Arogundade Hamed committed an offence contrary to and punishable under section 516 and 390 of criminal code cap 34 vol. II laws of Osun-State of Nigeria 2003. “He added”.
The four accused persons pleaded not guilty to the charge put against them by police prosecutor.
The counsel to the accused persons, Mr. Okobe prayed the court for bail. He said “section 36 subsection 5 of 1999 constitution as amended presumed them to be innocent to charge against them and their offence is a bailable offence”.
The Magistrate, Mr. Olushola Aluko granted the bail to the four accused persons with the sum of N50,000 with two sureties each in the likesum .
He said ” Each of the sureties is to swear to affidavit of means, residence within jurisdiction of court, provide tax clearance certificate and three passport size photograph.
