Fountain Varsity graduates 17 first class students

Fountain University Osogbo, Osun State, will hold its 6th convocation ceremony during which 17 students will be conferred with first class degrees.

A total of 198 students are to be conferred with degrees while Alhaji Sakariyau Olayiwola Babalola and Malam Yusuf Olaolu Ali (SAN) will have honorary degrees.

Addressing a press conference, the Acting Vice Chancellor, Professor AbdulLateef Usman said Babalola, the Deputy President-General of Nigerian Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), and Ali, the Pro Chancellor of Osun State University, would be conferred with Doctor of Science and Doctor of Letters respectively for their contribution to educational development in the country.

He said out of the 198 graduands, 17 made First Class degrees, 78 finished with Second Class Upper Division, 84 graduated with Second Class Lower Division and 19 got Third Class degrees.
