Funeral rites for Aduke Abiara begin

The week-long funeral arrangements for the burial of Prophetess Christiana Aduke Abiara, the wife of the General Evangelist, Christ Apostolic Church (Worldwide), Prophet Samuel Kayode Abiara, commenced on Friday with a Service of Songs at her birth place in Erinmo-Ijesha, Osun State.
According to a programme released by the church and the family, the train moves to Lagos on Monday, where a Service of Songs/Praise Celebration Concert will be held at the Lagos zonal headquarters of CAC, Agbala Itura in Agege, Lagos.
On November 30, another Praise Celebration Concert is billed for CAC, Agbala Itura, City of Praise, Olode, Ibadan, Oyo State.
This will be followed by Lying in State/Commendation Service at the same venue.
The “Final Home Going Service” will be held at Olode, Ibadan on December 2, 2016, which will be followed by interment and reception.
The programme will be rounded off with on December 4, 2016 with Thanksgiving Service in her honour at the CAC, City of Praise, Olode, Ibadan, Oyo State.
Prophetess Abiara died on September 2 after the family’s night prayer at the age of 70.
Prophet Abiara described her as “my heartthrob, my wife, confidant, jewel of inestimable value”, who was always there to make the work of Gospel easy for him.
He added on his Facebook page: “I miss you dearly my ministry partner, I say goodnight till we meet in heaven. I love you and would continue to love you. Rest in peace, Onitemi.”
The church’s President, Pastor Abraham Olukunle Akinosun, described her as a pillar of support to her husband and a very generous and impactful woman to all those who came her way.”
The General Secretary of CAC Worldwide, Pastor E. E. Mapur, described her as a virtuous woman, a spiritual amazon and a prayer warrior, who impacted the lives of everyone who came her way.
The late Abiara had both her primary and secondary education at Okesha, Ilesa, Osun State.
She went into trading before she met her husband about 55 years ago.
The marriage produced three set of twins.
