2027: I didn’t endorse Olajengbesi – Olomo of Omoo-Ijesa

The Olomo of Omoo-Ijesa, His Royal Majesty, Oba Michael Adeolu Adejola, has debunked reports suggesting that he endorsed Barrister Pelumi Olajengbesi, the Accord Party House of Representatives candidate for Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency.

Oba Adejola insisted that his role as a traditional ruler is to accommodate and pray for all politicians, irrespective of their political affiliations.

In an interview with NATIONNEWSLEAD, the monarch described reports portraying him as the political godfather of Olajengbesi as misleading.

He explained that as a traditional ruler, he regards all politicians as his children and does not discriminate against them on the basis of their political parties.

The monarch further clarified that he has neither declared support for any political candidate nor assumed the role of a political party leader.

According to him, he is not a card-carrying member of any political party, stressing that his responsibility as a royal father is to maintain peace, promote unity and offer prayers and blessings to those who visit his palace.

Oba Adejola explained that his prayer for Barrister Olajengbesi was a customary royal gesture and should not be interpreted as a political endorsement.

He recalled that he extended the same courtesy to Hon. Busayo Oluwole Oke when the federal lawmaker visited Omoo-Ijesa to inspect his project, which included the construction of the community’s palace.
