Operatives of the Osun State Police Command have arrested two suspects in Ibadan, Oyo State, over a burglary and stealing case in Osun.
The suspects, Anuoluwa Eyelade, 27, and Musa Abdullah, 28, were arrested after fleeing Osun with stolen items, the command said on Sunday.
A statement by the command spokesperson, Abiodun Ojelabi, said exhibits recovered from them include an HP laptop, a Dell laptop, a small Samsung phone, a charger, two power banks, an Apple iPad, and a scrap phone.
Giving details, Ojelabi said Eyelade, the principal suspect, burgled the residence of a complainant on July 26, 2026, and carted away items valued at ₦3,000,000.
He stated that operatives of the Ilesa Area Command arrested Eyelade in Ibadan and later transferred him to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.
“During interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime, and further investigation and intensive interrogation led to the suspect’s disclosure that some of the stolen properties had been transferred to a receiver in Ibadan, Oyo State,” Ojelabi said.
Acting on the lead, SCID operatives arrested Abdullah, identified as the receiver.
“The receiver confessed to have received the stolen properties and is being investigated for his alleged involvement in the activities of a syndicate dealing in stolen items. He also confessed that he bought an iPhone 12 from the suspect for the sum of twenty-five thousand naira (N25,000),” the statement added.
