Osun DLA affirms Adebisi Olusoji as presidential flagbearer for 2027

The Democratic Leadership Alliance in Osun State, has affirmed U.S.-based entrepreneur, Ambassador Adebisi Olusoji, as its presidential candidate for the 2027 general election.

Olusoji, an indigene of Ayedaade Local Government Area, was affirmed by a voice vote during a substitution primary held at the party secretariat in Osogbo on Thursday.

The process was witnessed by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Olalekan Fabayo, said the exercise was conducted in line with the party constitution and the Electoral Act 2026.

He explained that the substitution became necessary after the withdrawal of the party’s former presidential candidate, Barrister Samuel Memeh.

State Chairman of DLA, Dr. Tosin Odeyemi, in his remarks, said Nigeria needs a shift from the old order to a new beginning that can earn the country greater respect among nations.

He noted that citizens have experienced both the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and that it was time for a new direction.

“We are here today to affirm our presidential candidate. This event is taking place in all the state and at our national headquarters in Abuja. Ambassador Olusoji is being affirmed following the withdrawal of our former presidential candidate, Barrister Samuel Memeh.

“Nigerians have seen it all. Both APC and PDP have demonstrated their capacities, they’ve given us their best hands, it is time for a change,” Odeyemi stated.
